I Was Interviewed by a General Authority Seventy
HEY EVERYONE!!! These last few weeks have been hard but so good!!
My mission has cut out online work with facebook other than our mission facebook page, which is my responsibility! It is so nice to use all our time in the streets! It makes for some long days tho! We leave our house normally at 11am and get home at 8:30pm. We have been able to meet so many new people and teach so many lessons!! Anyone that seems to have spare time we ask to share a message! If they seem busy, we schedule a day to go visit them. It is very efficient!
A week ago I had the opportunity to meet Elder Parrella who is a General Authority Seventy. He came to speak to our mission and it was very special. He chose only a few people to interview afterwards, one of the few was me! He said lots of cool things that made me feel like God was talking to me through him. It was very cool. One thing he said was very random. He asked me if Germany had any significance to me. I was like "I have some family that's from there I think but no big significance." Later that day I looked at our family tree on the family search app and found that lots of people on my grandpa's side are from Germany. I started looking at some of the ordinances that needed to be done, and was impressed to ask my family about doing work for specific names that I found.
I am getting transferred to a new area tomorrow and will continue as the senior companion! The area is called Estancia, which is a city of 70,000 located in the Brazilian state of Sergipe. It is 4 and a half hours away from my present area and seems to be close to the beach and more countryish! It should be more rural since I'm leaving the state of Alagoas and the city of Maceio, which has a population just over 1 million. I am hoping it is more rural! I am very excited!
We scheduled a baptism with the daughter of my second baptism! She is 15 and wasn't ready a couple months ago but now has interest and accepted our invitation to be baptized! Sadly the baptism is for this Sunday and I will be in a different area, but I am so excited for her!!
Have a great week!
